Newsletter and checklist
When you request the Home Utility checklist or guide emails, we process your email address, consent version, signup page, subscription status, confirmation and unsubscribe times, and campaign delivery history. We use this information to deliver requested content, enforce the one-email-per-week limit, prevent duplicate sends, and honor opt-out requests.
Article emails are sent only after email confirmation. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request stops future sends immediately in our sending database.
Server and form security data
The site does not offer user accounts, comments, or checkout. Standard server logs may temporarily record technical information such as IP address, requested URL, browser user agent, timestamp, and response status for security and reliability. Newsletter rate limiting uses transient network information without adding it to the subscriber record.
Affiliate links
Links to Amazon or another retailer may allow that third party to process referral and purchase information under its own privacy policy. Home Utility does not receive your retailer account credentials or full payment details.
Analytics and cookies
Home Utility uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage and improve content. Depending on consent and browser settings, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and process information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referral source, and interactions with the site.
Retention and security
Operational logs are retained only as needed for security, debugging, and infrastructure reliability. Subscriber records are retained while a subscription is active and afterward as needed to preserve the unsubscribe request and prevent accidental re-enrollment. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
